Making Vegan Cheese

If you are not a vegetarian or vegan, then you have probably never even considered that cheese might be off the menu for many vegetarians and vegans. For those who have given up including dairy products in their diet, vegan cheese is a godsend and a great alternative for your favorite dishes. Yes, even mac and cheese can be made suitable for vegans!

What you need to make Vegan Cheese:

  • 1 1 /2 cups Soy Milk (or non-dairy milk of your choice)
  • 1/2 cup raw cashew nuts
  • 3 tbs almond meal
  • 1 tbs lemon juice
  • 3 tbs grapeseed oil (or oil of choice)
  • 2 tbs agar agar powder (mixed with 1/2 cup + 2 tbs boiling water)
  • 2 tbs miso paste
  • 1 tsp vegetable stock powder
  • 1/2 tsp white pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Himalayan salt
