Guests at all of the resorts within the Tafer Hotels & Resorts chain can enjoy access to kayaks, whether exploring the Caribbean Sea in Cancun and Riviera Maya, conquering Banderas Bay in Puerto Vallarta or gliding along the calm surface of Lake Juanacatlan at Sierra Lago Resort in the mountains near Mascota.
Kayaking is a great fun pastime, and can be enjoyed in single kayaks or two-man kayaks. Beyond enjoying life on the ocean waves, the activity also boasts many health benefits including improved cardiovascular fitness, upper body strength and coordination.
Kayaking differs from canoeing in subtle ways that include how you sit on the boat as well as the paddles that are used. For example, kayakers will sit with their legs stretched out in front of them while cancers will kneel on the bottom of the canoe or sit on a raised seat. The paddle is also different. For kayaks, the paddle has a blade on both ends while for canoes there is only one blade.
